Stage 1 of re-model

We’ve carefully designed our new herb garden with accessibility in mind, ensuring that as many people as possible can engage with and enjoy the space. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, can comfortably participate in gardening activities. The layout has been thoughtfully planned to make the best use of every square inch of space, ensuring it is both functional and efficient.

In terms of aesthetics and atmosphere, we’ve also considered the flow of energy throughout the garden, creating a harmonious and inviting space where people can relax, learn, and connect. We took into account the natural positioning of the sun, allowing plants to thrive in their optimal locations while offering spots where individuals can enjoy the warmth or shade as they tend to the plants.

The design also anticipates future growth, with space set aside for workshops and community activities, allowing us to continue expanding our offerings as our community grows. Every element of the garden reflects a commitment to sustainability and resilience, aligning with permaculture principles. This means we prioritise working with nature, creating ecosystems that are self-sustaining, promoting biodiversity, and reducing waste.

Ultimately, we’ve created a space that is both functional and welcoming—one that will evolve over time and continue to serve as a centre for learning, well-being, and community connection.
